Local Women's Home-Based Business Support Group Started

The Women's Resource Center in partnership with the Englewood-Cape Haze Area Chamber of Commerce have started a Women's Home Business Network support group in Sarasota County, Florida. The group plans to hold monthly meetings that will offer guest speakers who will discuss business ideas, target markets and steps to become a successful entrepreneur. At a cost of only $5 per person, the group meetings should provide not only a good source of first-hand information on being a home business success, but also peer group support and a business network for home business operators, who often lead a solitary social life.

After each lecture the group will hold a brainstorming session that promises to help new business owners gather advice from those with successful home business experience.
