Get to Know Which City Codes Apply to Your Business

Wednesday August 2, 2006
This local Colorado newspaper article does a good job in providing an overview of city codes that pertain to those with home occupations and those with home businesses - each has different regulations. Home occupations are allowed without a permit, but home businesses must have a conditional use permit in each zone, according to Salida, Colorado's municipal code. It also makes a difference whether home business patrons come to the house. Those who operate in violation of the city's codes are subject to fines.

Do you know the city codes that apply to your business? How did you go about researching them?
