Work From Home Jobs May be Offered to Baby Boomers
Wednesday November 15, 2006
According to this report, every day marks the 60th birthday of one or more of the nation?s 78 million baby boomers. As a result, two-thirds of companies expect baby boomer retirements to have a measurable impact on their organizations, yet most companies surveyed haven't really begun planning what to do about increasing attrition in the workforce due to the graying of America.
The survey revealed the top methods that organizations are planning to implement to try to retain baby boomers on their payrolls past retirement age. Of those companies surveyed, some 53% plan to offer telecommuting as an option by converting the positions of valued baby boomers to work from home jobs.
If you're a part of the baby boom generation approaching retirement age, would you consider staying on in your job if you could work from home?
