Google Search Ranking Factors Analyzed
Wednesday April 4, 2007
Noted search engine optimization authority Rand Fishkin and his associates from SEOmoz have released an in-depth report on search ranking factors. The results were compiled through what SEOmoz calls "the collective wisdom of 34 leaders in the world or organic search engine optimization".
The report is the most comprehensive I've seen and includes links to the sites of the 34 contributors (some very big names in the search industry) who weighed in on various factors believed to be included in Google's ranking algorithm, including such elements as: Keyword use in the Title tag, anchor text of inbound links, the relevance of a site's primary subject and many more.
The report is further segregated by the Top 10 Positive Factors, Most Controversial Factors, and the Top 5 Negative Factors. It's a definite must have for anyone that's trying to improve their natural (unpaid, organic) search engine rankings for their home business Web site, especially if you decide you might want to implement some of my D-I-Y SEO Tips.
