Since August of 2004, when she started Make a Diaper Cake (MADC), Barbara Ireland, of Waukegan, Illinois has thrived on the assembly of the traditional "diaper cake" - an interesting arrangement of diapers, baby toys, and a collaboration of other baby must-haves presented at baby showers and parties. Barb says, "I have yet to really experience any challenges with MADC. I love what I do and the joy of helping others has always been my first priority."

She has taken the business a step farther offering "cakes" for virtually any occasion and by encouraging others to create their own home-based business making cakes through the sale of her book and Web membership. All told, Barb claims to have helped over 5,000 people make diaper and towel cakes.
