Home Business Profile - Johnson Financial Services

Wednesday October 3, 2007
Johnson Financial Services is the home business of Lesley Johnson, which she founded in 2001 as a sole proprietorship. Lesley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri and is an Enrolled Agent, authorized to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. She has over eight years of public accounting experience and over seven years of income tax preparation experience.

Lesley's business provides bookkeeping, professional billing, payables management, financial training and consulting and other financial-related services to businesses along with income tax, financial planning and money management services to individuals, and even basic money skills training for kids.

Lesley describes the challenge for running her home business is to "Maintain parameters for yourself and for your family with space and working hours". But the biggest advantage of running her business from home is "The mere fact that if you need to complete a project on a tight deadline, you can still work late in the evening or early in the morning WITHOUT leaving your house", which she further describes as "Ideal for parents -- trying to get the 'best of both worlds'."
