Obama Wins Election: A New World?
Wednesday November 5, 2008
It was a hard fought campaign on both sides. My biggest relief is that the attack campaign ads are now over for a few more years. This year seemed worse than ever, not just for the Presidential candidates, but for local offices as well. I'm also hopeful that the email smear chain letters will come to an end, besmirching Obama's background and affiliations with inaccuracies, as well as attacking Governor Palin's competence or lack thereof. Time will tell what happens next, both for the country as a whole and for small business.
To me, the best outcome would be if we can all unite again as a country and put our resources together to overcome our troubles with the economy, wars, health care and the collection of other important issues that will need to be addressed sooner, rather than later. A sense of optimism and renewed hope would surely go a long way to help.
