Just because we live in a computer age doesn't mean that everyone is computer-savvy. That's where the computer tutor comes in.
A computer tutor teaches individuals and businesses how to best use their computer programs and the Internet, typically at the client's location. I can tell you from first-hand experience with this home-based business, fluency in several popular computer applications, such as different components of Microsoft Office, is imperative to be successful for this type of home business.
I can also tell you first hand that many of your clients will want you to schedule their lessons at night or on the weekends - which makes this home based business idea absolutely ideal to start on a part-time basis. It's also a great home based business for earning some extra money on the side, even if you never have the intention of turning into a full-time home-based business and you just need some extra spending money or you're retired.
This home-based business helped me to be able to go back to school when I was in the process of making a career change. Because you will learn from your students, it's also good experience if you've been thinking about becoming a computer trainer, for example.

As an IT professional recently downsized, this sounds like an excellent idea for extra income. With home computer users there are often few options for help. I will definitely look into doing something like this.
Tech:
I’ve done it myself as I was transitioning careers so I can tell you it can be lucrative as well as personally rewarding – you’re actually helping people out and giving them repeat “aha” moments. Today, even smart phones and other electronic devices can be a little user challenging at first. You could also diversify by helping to set up wireless networks in the home, etc.

Ah!!! At last I found what I was looking for. It’s also a great home based business for earning some extra money on the side,. Sometimes it takes so much effort to find even tiny useful piece of information. Nice post. Thanks
Kindergarten Kim:
Thanks for stopping by. Glad you found what you wanted.

* A love of knowledge — and the know-how to impart it
* A love of teaching. There’s no hiding a lack of it
* A few advertising outlets, including a simple website detailing your expertise and rates is a good idea, and flyers with perhaps an introductory discount. Pass them out near electronics stores, tech fairs and businesses.
* That first satisfied customer. Word of mouth will still be your best promotional tool with this home based business idea.
* Patience. You need to be able to keep your cool and not fly off the handle if a student forgets what you taught them or is unable to grasp a certain concept.
Pretty much what was said. Patience with pupils is key and being able to understand the student’s needs and learning ability so you don’t go too fast or too slow.
