Entrepreneurs Counting on SEO to Get Noticed

From Randy Duermyer, About.com Guide   July 20, 2009

This post on Straight Up Search rightly points out that search engine optimization - SEO - is a good way for the "little guy" to level the playing field when it comes to drumming up business.

The author cited an article from Entrepreneur.com that shows 76% of entrepreneurs surveyed said they are now relying more on online marketing efforts. Almost half of this 76% said they have either recently upgraded their website or increased their SEO efforts.

It all makes perfect sense since online marketing is a very cost effective way to get your business found. And this applies whether the entrepreneur is strictly engaging in an online business or a brick and mortar store with a single location. Local search listings in Google, Yahoo and Bing are a great way to get a location-specific small business to the top of the search rankings, and basic local search listings don't cost anything, but, as a rule, your business needs a physical street address. That will put your small business on the map right away. With more and more users relying on local search to find what they need, it's a great bargain.

That makes a lot of sense for small business to do that as it will lead to lots of leads for less money. That is what we specialize in for businesses and it really works. Keep up the good work. If a client doesn’t know how to do this it can be effective to hire a seo firm like ours. Keep up the good work.
