Telecommuting Idea: Call Center Worker

Tuesday August 15, 2006
The need for good telemarketers and call center personnel is very strong, and more and more call center operations are willing to have their representatives working from home, according to the California Job Journal.

While hundreds of thousands of call center and telemarketing jobs have been shipped overseas because of lower labor costs and available workers (offshoring), there are still plenty of opportunities in the US where you can work as a call center representative from home. In fact, the growing popularity of such arrangements has resulted in the adoption of a new term for these arrangements - "homeshoring".

If you really want to work from home and have good phone skills but don't want to risk starting a home business, this type of homeshoring job could be the perfect opportunity for you to telecommute.
