From Randy Duermyer:I had been very successful working for others and I feel fortunate to have been able to work from home most of that time. The catalyst for starting my own home business came when I was unexpectedly laid off. Although I had dabbled in part-time entrepreneurship before then and had always dreamed of owning my own business, it wasn't until this life-changing event that I had no choice but to support myself full-time with a home business. After 5 years I've accepted a full telecommuting position and plan to continue my home business on a part-time basis. I hope my About Home Business visitors will benefit from my first-hand entrepreneurial and telecommuting experience and that they will share their own experiences and challenges so that everyone can learn from each other as part of this community.
