When an economic recession or other period of hard times is waiting on the doorstep of your home business or your home you need to take action for survival. Recessions and economic hard times vary, but they may include some important factors that can have a negative impact on your business or your personal finances, including:
- Inflation
- Growing unemployment
- The weakening of the dollar
- A tight credit market
- Overseas competition
- Weak real estate and investment markets
- Weakened demand for business products or services
- Bank failures
- Growing foreclosure and bankruptcy rates
If you can become skilled in identifying the specific problems that are impacting your business, developing an economic recovery plan, putting your plan into action and then monitoring the results and learning from your successes and failures, you can become what I like to call a Recession Ninja - a master of getting through an economic recession or other hard times.
