Tell me about your affiliate and distributor programs.

Affiliates can also be independent distributors depending on the extent they wish to be involved. Affiliates must have their own website. They sign up for my affiliate program from www.goclean.com. After I approve their website they are given a code number that they hyperlink to a banner or wording on their website. Sales originating from their site are then tracked so they can be paid their commission. I process the customer's credit card and do the shipping so commissions are lower than that of independent distributors.

Independent distributors can vary in how they sell products. Some are presenting cleaning seminars to groups of friends much like a Tupperware Party only for cleaning supplies. I teach them how to present the seminar, which is geared around the introduction of my products. They take orders, submit a summary. That order is bulk packed and shipped directly to the distributor for redistribution to their customers.

Several of my independent distributors are focusing on selling to the RV industry at RV rallies. They purchase products up front and then resell to customers. They learn my cleaning seminar to present in campgrounds or at RV rallies. I also have a few boat detailers who also sell directly to people. They also buy in bulk then resell to their customers.

When my privately labeled cleaners arrive in mid-October, I have two independent distributors who will be selling wholesale to various companies like RV stores, hotels etc. So there is a wide variety of opportunities for people to work independently from home and make an excellent living. It allows them flexible work schedules and full training from me personally.

Is any type of investment required?

There is no investment for an affiliate as they simply put the banner on their website and link their code. Independent distributors must purchase a full line of supplies for themselves so they learn how to use the products and become familiar with the line. They purchase the kit at full retail cost. When they place their first order, $500 worth of wholesale stock, they receive 45% off suggested retail list. At the time of this first $500 order they are then given a 45% credit on the purchase of their initial kit. After the initial $500 order they may fill in what they need with a minimum purchase of $250.

What kinds of products do your affiliates and distributors market for you?

Anyone who clicks on a banner from an affiliate page has access to my full line of cleaning tools, cleaners and accessories. The products an independent distributor purchases to resell depends on the field he/she wishes to enter.

Folks selling into the RV industry sell a different set of tools than those who are selling to homeowners or boaters or show car enthusiasts. Some of my distributors only want to sell my Advantage which is an excellent protectant for cars, boats, Rvs motorcycles etc. and I have no objection to that. Distributors must carry my full line to be allowed to do RV shows etc.

What kinds of support do you offer to your distributors?

Independent distributors receive all the training needed to present seminars and sell products along with full written product knowledge. I work with them in learning presentations and have them give a presentation over the phone to me before allowing them to do this on their own. I am looking into doing a video for those distributors who are interested in giving home parties so they can show the clip and then just demonstrate the products as they appear on the video. Videos are costly so this is a future project although I am talking with the University here to have a student film maker work on the project for me.

About how much time does being a Mary Moppins distributor require?

A distributor can spend as much or little time as fits their schedule. If they are presenting one home party a week, they can expect 3 to 4 hours for the evening, an hour of prep time and about two hours to tally the sales and distribute products after they are shipped. They can spend as little as an hour a day making calls to hotels and restaurants etc to sell cleaners up to 4 to 5 days if they are selling through RV rallies.

I do not require a minimum amount of sales per week or month to remain a distributor. That is up to the individual. Of course I want them to be successful and encourage my people toward that goal. If they want to make a living wage selling Mary Moppins it's going to mean putting in enough hours to accomplish that goal. A 35 to 40 hour week should make them a very good living.

That is why I have them first write down a basic marketing plan including what line of sales are they interested in whether it's selling to a wholesale market such as hotels, doing home parties or selling to RVers.
