What Topics Does Your Blog Cover?

Nothing is off topic at this blog. The primary focus is to help a mom who is new to the home business world to quickly gather knowledge and courage to pursue her dream of working from home. However, subjects like: how to run a business when your husband doesn't support you, how to write a business plan, why a mompreneur should have more "intimate" sessions with her spouse, how to dress at a networking event, and all thing related to motherhood are discussed too.

How Did You Set Up Your Blog and Get Started?

I hated the thought of leaving Blogger to go to WordPress. Blogger is so perfect for a non-techie like me. But I kept hearing about the power of WP and found someone to transfer my blog from Blogger to WordPress.

A year later I still cringe when I think about going into my FTP files! It feels like going into the damp, dark basement where rats and ghosts and spiders and snakes will jump out at you and destroy you! FTP, HTML, SEO, Cpanel, HIV; they all make me nervous. But I'm surviving. LOL!

Advice

  • Don't believe the hype. It takes time to learn Internet marketing.
  • You will not sit in your pajamas and make thousands a day (not in the initial stage anyway).
  • If you believe the hype and buy a product, use it before you buy another.
  • Don't feel guilty when you realize that, even though you work from home, you will still need a baby sitter. You're working!

Randy Duermyer, Home Business Guide, says:

This is really a great, engaging and motivational blog for moms, especially those who want to be or are already entrepreneurs (mompreneurs) with lots of interviews. Also, excellent tips from this very active blogger.
