From the article: Health Insurance and Home Business
Health insurance coverage and the lack thereof has been a political hot-button issue for years now, but meaningful health care reform has yet to be instituted on a nationwide basis across the U.S. Health insurance coverage premiums continue to rise, employers continue to cut back on their share of premiums, people continue to get laid off or otherwise lose their coverage. Tell your story - do you have health insurance coverage? Have you lost it or had to reduce your coverage because of your financial situation? What do you think of a public option for health care or health insurance coverage?
For now I still have health insurance
- But soon I won't, since I am loosing my job. I have considered the option that my neighbor has and that is to not have any health insurance at all. He hasn't had insurance for over 14 years and fortunately, has only been in one minor accident requiring medical care. He pays, out of pocket for his healthcare needs with the money he saves by not paying premiums, which for him, would've been about 600/month.

Couldn't Afford Health Insurance
- As I mentioned, I had to drop my health insurance coverage because I couldn't afford it any more. Premiums just kept going up - along with my deductible. I am really hoping that health insurance coverage can be made more affordable and more available in the very near future. I've looked at my options - if nothing gets done this time, I'll probably have to move to another state - why isn't there a national program?
