Readers Respond: Are You Making any Money with Google AdSense?

Responses: 14

From , former About.com Guide

Google offers all the help you need in using Google AdSense and optimizing your ads to make more money. There is no need to invest in any of the Google scams that endlessly charge your credit card for the "right" to access the scammer's website. Have you tried AdSense yet, and if so, are you making any money with it? Do you have any tips you can share to help others get started or boost their earnings?

Have Not Put Much Into It

I must admit, I been with adsense approx. two years. First I had it on a website, then I shut that site down because I was not making anything off it and constantly spent money advertising. This was when I did not know any better. I did from the 3 months it was up get to the $50 mark. Then I started another site that I never touched at all. Just paid for it month after month but had my adsense ads incorporated into it. I made a few dollars here and there. When I finally realized by looking at my credit card statements that I was paying monthly for this website, I cancelled that one as well. It seemed all wrong to me when I went back and looked at it. During that time, I opened an Ebay store for about a year that kept me really busy. After a year, I closed the Ebay store and then built www.bargainsdirectly.com . On my new website, I incorporated my same old adsense stuff and marketed to all my old Ebay customers. I restarted in Sept 2010 and am happy to say I'm almost there.

Only i need to know how I can add Google ads or the paying companies ads to my blog or video clips. How will I get their link or ads? Thanks Vineesh pv [FROM MODERATOR: Vineesh - Your question is better discussed in the forum. I've set up a Google AdSense forum and provided an initial response to your question at http://forums.about.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?tsn=1&nav=messages&webtag=ab-homebusiness&tid=154. I hope that I and other readers will be able to give you the guidance you need. Thanks for bringing attention to the fact that I haven't covered this adequately on the site in the past. Randy D.]

Intrigued

I only have a basic knowledge of website creation, and have never considered writing a blog, using youtube.com, or any one of the other numerous systems online that truly generate legitimate income, but am seriously considering it as I have just transfered to a job where I work from 11p.m to 7a.m, and will have a ton of time available. It seems that guest "sinhob" provides a great model to emulate. They are able to write properly, clearly, and tactfully informed us of their website (which I will be checking out). Having a knowledgeable understanding of syntax and grammar is a necessity when attempting these endeavors, and it is an area that I plan on allocating a good deal of effort in improving as I attempt to foray into the field. Good luck to everyone, hopefully in a few months I will be able to re-post on here with some positive results.

hi

i have pay anything for this....how i am getting my money..what is yhe benifit for u From moderator: No, you don't have to pay anything to use Google Adsense. When people click an ad on your site or blog, you earn money, which is tracked by Google and held until you reach a certain amount - in most cases $100 - and then Google issues payment - usually a direct deposit to your account you set up when you sign up for AdSense. The benefit is that you make money.

Making Money with Adsense

I make a fairly decent regular monthly income from Adsense although admittedly it took around two years hard work before I saw any income at all. I write unique articles for my website , www.BreastfeedingMums.com and work hard on promoting it via my blog, commenting on other peoples blogs and by making use of social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and online forums. I have also made a small number of my articles available for re-publication by other webmasters which helps provide me with valuable backlinks and interested visitors from the sites using my articles. I have carefully blended my Adsense ads into my site in such a way that they don't impose on the user experience. The ads that do appear are relevant and useful to my visitors. As a result they are happy to click on them and I earn a small sum with each click.

scam?

i researched the making money with google and it all says its a scam Brandi - you are right - the ads that say you can make money with Google AdSense by buying into their program ARE a scam - and I've written about them right here. However, Google itself will provide you with all the information and training you need, and additional free sites (like this one) will give you FREE tips on how to maximize your earnings. The key is to do this through Google and then follow up with REPUTABLE sites to improve your earnings. Randy D.

Some Success for Clients

While I've been using AdSense for several years on my sites and on my clients' sites, I've only received one payment. My clients have fared much better - especially those who were nearly obsessed with ad placement on the page and having them blend in with their surroundings. However, their sites had a lot more traffic than mine gets, and that has lots to do with it.
