Zentrepreneur - Are You One? (Online Audio Interview)
Wednesday December 6, 2006
Yet another term is creeping its way into our home business world. Zentrepreneurism (think Zen + Entrepreneur).
In this online audio interview on Entrepreneur's Home Based Business Show with author and admitted serial entrepreneur Allen Holender, Zentrepreneurism - a term coined by Holender - is integrating your life's purpose into your business and is a matter of infusing your personal mission with your business mission. It's a matter of not just focusing on the bottom line for the sake of accumulating tangible wealth - it's more a matter of looking after your community and meeting your obligations to support people who couldn't otherwise make it on their own. It has been described by one writer as an "Enlightened brand of capitalism that blends service to others with entrepreneurial spirit".
According to Holender who recently published his book Zentrepreneurism - A 21st Century Guide To The New World Of Business, the practice is growing "One Zentrepreneur at a time". For many, it seems to be an answer to the restlessness and hopelessness that seems to come about from pursuing the almighty dollar. Holender's new website, www.zentrepreneurism.com is intended as an outlet where zentrepreneurs and potential zentrepreneurs can connect and network.
The concept seems to take the dream of owning your own home based business a step further where the business owner can enjoy a sense of personal empowerment and fulfillment in the process of conducting a successful business.

Very interesting article.
In order to be really fulfilled we need to live a balanced life. By only focussing on making money our internal balance gets disturbed.
It is easy to lose our balance between
work, family and personal time spent and we should make small adjustments on a daily basis, when necessary, to re-establish our balance and create harmony.
