New Web Traffic Generation Firm Announces $10,000 Contest Prize
Tuesday December 2, 2008
To promote their online launch, website traffic generation company uSocial.net has announced a contest giveaway of $10,000 worth of services to generate targeted website traffic to one lucky winner's website.
While website traffic generating businesses aren't especially new, uSocial claims that it has ways to get social bookmarking sites like Digg, Propeller and StumbleUpon to generate votes on their clients' content, resulting in front-page listings in those social sites and inevitably leading to loads of traffic for their clients. In testing, the company claims to have "experienced as much as 220,000 unique visitors to a site in a single day" as a result of its methods.
According to the company's Publicity and Marketing Manager, Serena Adamson, the company is "aware that many Digg, StumbleUpon and Propeller users won't like their system being manipulated, however we have measures in place to ensure that content which receives our paid votes will not be distinguishable from any other content on those sites." Adamson went on to say, "On top of this, all content which is submitted to us to have paid votes placed on it is reviewed by a member of our staff to ensure that it doesn't even have the slightest hint of spam about it -- we believe in great marketing and in our honest opinion, spam is definitely not great marketing."
uSocial.net is calling its contest the "Recession Rescue Package", and it includes $2,500 worth of uSocial consulting services along with targeted website traffic they value at $7,500 and a 10 percent lifetime discount on the company's services in the future. The prize will be awarded to just one online business owner. uSocial.net CEO Leon Hill estimates that depending on the type of online business the winner operates, the package should bring "about 1 to 2 million unique and interested visitors" to the winning site.
Entering the Contest
To enter the contest, participants are required to tell uSocial.net in 25 words or less why they think they deserve the Recession Rescue package online at http://uSocial.net/recessionrescue. Entries will be accepted until the 1st of January, 2009 and the winner will be notified by email on or before January 3, 2009. Only one entry per business/entrant is permitted.
