Telecommute Employment - Latest Telecommuting Jobs Postings

From Randy Duermyer, About.com GuideFebruary 9, 2010

Follow me on:

The latest telecommute employment opportunities have been posted. Last week's international focus didn't seem to go over too well, so I am again focusing on telecommute employment in the U.S. this week, although a few jobs could probably be done from overseas. I'll bring back some international jobs from time to time, as some of you have requested them.

Tell Me How Often You Want Jobs Postings

I've been toying with the idea of offering telecommute employment listings more than just once per week. My thinking is I could post work from home jobs as I find them. This might be one or two telecommuting jobs per day. They would be posted right here on the home page in the blog.

There will be some days when I don't have time to go track them down and post them here, and there will be days where other topics may take priority. But I'm thinking, what if I could include a couple of jobs a few times throughout the week on the home page (no set schedule) - while they're "hot off the presses" and then update the Jobs Posting page every week with all of the work at home jobs I found that week?

Those of you who only want to stop by once a week can continue to do so. Those of you who stop by more often could have an advantage if you decide to apply for one of the jobs in the list, instead of being behind the eight ball because you didn't know about the posting until several days later. I'm all for giving my readers an edge in finding work at home.

What do you think? if you don't care, I'm not going to waste my time. Take the poll and let me know! (And leave a comment on this post if you like. I'm open to good ideas.)

In the meantime:

Hi Randy
As you’re thinking of increasing the frequency of job postings I thought I might put forward an idea to save you time and give your readers the most up to date flexible and telecommuting jobs.
I run a job board that updates daily all the flexible jobs in the US and UK. We’re not an automated RSS feed from one of the big boards but a 4 person team that scours the internet daily for jobs as part of the Supporting Parents In Business campaign.
Access is completely free as part of the campaign and I’d happily let you have our feed to save you time and give the campaign some exposure.
Have a think and let me have any questions.
Best Regards
Steve

Thanks for your offer. I’d love the simplicity of an RSS feed, but I have to consider the limitations and restrictions of the About.com network. Additionally, since I am offering the readers the value of my personally filtering these opportunities, I’m not really considering using an RSS feed like nearly all other sites do – I think my readers value my personal filtering of these opportunities and I plan to continue to do so, even though I know it’s a time consuming effort.

Hi Randy,

Thanks for the at home leads. I would rather see as you find them, because by the time we apply, they are filled. They go fast! I also would like to say I enjoy your site, and would continue to check it out, even after I find a job.

Thanks!

Hi! Thanks for taking the time to give me some feedback. The poll is running about 75% in favor or more frequent postings, so I will probably go that way starting next week. Stay tuned!
