4 Free Online Calendar Tools

Keep it all together - and then some.

By , About.com Guide

Every moment wasted during your work hours is money lost or time lost with your family. Running a successful home AND business under the same roof requires a masterful juggling act. If you don't have a calendar system that is currently working for you, it is time to consider some of these FREE tools:

1. 30 Boxes

"Touted as the World’s best online calendar, 30 Boxes comes with access to your own calendar page that allows you to quickly add in your calendar items. The tool does a lot more and is big on connectivity with friends and family."

Great and simple calendar tool.  2006 Winner of PC World.   It is very easily organized and set-up for sharing with coworkers, collaborators or family.   Personally, I like this interface better than Google Calendar and the features are very similar.  I would check it out.

2. Cozi

"Introducing Cozi a free online organizer that helps busy families keep up with appointments and lists, coordinate home and work schedules, and share favorite memories, all in one place."

This is a personal calendar designed to organize your family life.  I think it is brilliant, especially for work-at-home-moms who are juggling just about everything.  It has received many awards and accolades. The system has a shared calendaring feature, smart phone app, to-do/grocery lists and color coded family identifier. There is a Sunday email summarizing your families' upcoming week. I love the the journal feature, allowing you to jot down family details, attach a picture, and later send it as a newsletter to extended family. Great tool!

3. Google Calendar

"Create events, set reminders, connect with others."

This tool does it all and if you are already a Google enthusiast and use other Google apps like Gmail or Google Docs, it makes the most sense to go with this calendar.

4. My Memorizer

"A reminding service. You add events on important dates or subscribe to shared groups. myMemorizer will then send you a reminder as an e-mail or as a SMS/Text Message to your cellphone."

A simple straightforward calendar that will sync with your existing email or cell phone plan.
